The figs of San Mango sul Calore Pat are irresistible. Adapted over the centuries to the cold climate, they have a red skin when the fruit is ripe and a juicy dark bronze pulp.
Due to their particular characteristics, they are also ideal for preserves or glazed or covered with dark chocolate. They are also produced in the areas of Paternopoli (also known for broccoli), Caposele and Castelfranci. In the last weekend of July they are the protagonists of a typical festival.
