In the centre of the beautiful hamlet of Sant’Alessandro, an arrow indicates the way to get to Spiaggia degli Inglesi.

The old stone staircase sloping down between an exuberant vegetation, under a canopy of oaks and flowered bougainville which allow to half see some azure. In the silence, the seagulls’ shouts signal the proximity of the sea. It appears suddenly, at the end of the slope, with a breath-taking show: rocks emerging in front of a beachfront set between hearth and sea. A beach, which becomes a passion, as it was for English people in the 20th century.
