From Serrara to Fontana. It starts from the Frassitelli panoramic road with a view of Forio and Ventotene on the horizon.
The Mediterranean maquis rules and the first boulders of green tuff stand out on the sides of the path as sentinels as we pass. Proceeding the landscape changes and we find ourselves in an enchanted forest of acacias that seems almost painted, along the path run the "parracine", ancient dry-stone walls and from here the path changes again and we find ourselves in the suggestive forest of Falanga, guardian of the mythical "stone houses" dug by the hand of man in the boulders of green tuff to defend themselves from the attack of Saracen pirates and to shelter the barrels loaded with wine for a natural fermentation. From here begins the climb up to the Epomeo, passing by the stone of the water, a huge collection tank to irrigate the fields in this area cultivated with Carosella wheat. And still up until finally reaching the hermitage of San Nicola and enjoy a breathtaking 360 ° panorama. From here begins the descent that will take us to a typical restaurant, we will taste the local dishes accompanied by Biancolella wine and we will enjoy a well-deserved rest, perhaps lying in a hammock.
