The Roccamonfina-Foce Garigliano Regional Park is a treasure chest almost unknown to most, which preserves ancient memories, made of fire, faith and incessant work of both Nature and man.

The whole area of the park covers, in fact, what was once an ancient volcano, which extinguished more than 50,000 years ago but which still gives sources of fresh but also thermal water.

If there is still a sacred place, which gives peace, silence but at the same time a powerful presence of Nature, this is certainly the ancient volcano.

A path, in particular, can give deep emotions and it is the one that, from the ancient wash house of the village of Fontanafredda, unravels under the cool shade of centuries-old chestnut trees, on paths interspersed with ancient dry-stone walls, covered with moss. Following almost a hypothetical spiral, you can go on to discover a suggestive corner.
