In the last stretch of the Phlegraean coast, now one with the Domitian coast, in the territory of Giugliano, included in the metropolitan area of Naples, the large beach of Varcaturo succeeds the Lido di Licola.
Not far from Lake Patria and the place where it was built in the 2nd century BC. the city of Liternum, in the center of the Liternino countryside, cited by Cicero for its particular fertility, which made it one of the most important agricultural areas of Campania felix.
With its golden sand and the gently sloping seabed, also sandy, the beach is also ideal for families with children. Some sections are free, others are in concession to the bathing establishments, which offer various services. The view of the sea dominated by the islands of Ischia and Procida is very suggestive.
