The Monti del Partenio, also known as Monti di Avella, are identified by three ridges, organised in east/west directions and separated by deep valleys.
Of calcareous nature, they don’t present karst phenomena. Therefore, they do not stand out for their significant streams. The highest peak is Acerone di Avella of 1598 meters, while the Monte Partenio, in the third place, reaches 1573 meters.
