It springs from the confluence of the streams Platano and Melandro. Then it flows in a context of great environmental value between spectacular canyons.
A bridge was built along the course of the river during the Augustan age. Nowadays, it is dedicated to Saint Conus. It is a tributary of the Tanagro River.
