Spiaggia del Pozzillo
A welcoming strip of golden sand connects San Marco and Santa Maria di Castellabate. It is the Pozzillo Beach, bathed by a crystal clear sea showing the shallow water and makes it perfect to frequent for children. It ends in the territory of Santa Maria di Castellabate with thee mall beach of Marina Piccola.
Punta Licosa
In the Marine Protected Area of Castellabate, one of the most beautiful and representative places of Cilento coast is Punta Licosa. According to the legend, here the Mermaids who couldn’t bewitch Ulysses with their song, jumping into the sea from the promontory.
Leucosia, one of them, was transformed into a rock. Few meters from the shore, you can see Licosa island, from the path that reaches the Punta starting from San Marco di Castellabate. A walk among the maritime pines and the fragrant bushes of the Mediterranean scrub, which prepares the encounter with a beautiful sea in the infinite shades of blue. You can also get there by sea, once you pass the dwonderful rocky coves opening along the coast.
