Spring is certainly the best time to fully enjoy the wild beauty of this place!

The bright and proud green of the vegetation suggesting the power of exploding life. Pollinating insects letting themselves be guided by the sweetness of the nectar and the captivating colors of the flowers. Resident and migratory birds taking advantage of the abundance of food to launch into ritual songs and dances in search of a partner.

Animals and plants, including endemic species such as Limonium inarimense, have chosen the southwestern side of the island as their home.

Pelara 3993

The visitor dives in a complete sensory experience: the scent of flowers, earth and sea; birdsong, the wind among the leaves, the rhythm of the waves; Multi-colored, layered rocks and walls telling a story of 25,000 years ago. The view is rewarding in every corner, from every new perspective.

Cava Pelara and Capo Negro give the opportunity to fall in love with Ischia with its sweet profile and impetuous soul.

We immerse ourselves in this journey leaving the dirt road at the crossroads: on the left the path leads to Monte di Panza, we continue to the right, descending into what looks like a natural tunnel.

You quickly reach a welcoming and refreshing holm oak wood.

We continue enjoying the gradual passage from the wood to the coastal Mediterranean scrub.

Pelara 3993

The panorama opens up in front of us as if to reveal a hidden treasure.

We go down carefully until we smell the intense scent of the sea.

After having filled our eyes and heart, we go back up to take an internal path that will lead us to Monte di Panza.

We won't wait long for a whole new panorama to show: the southern side of the island.

Capo Grosso, Sant'Angelo and Punta Chiarito define the coastal profile, which seems to barely contain the imposing hinterland!

At the end of the path, the clear horizon allows us to admire Capri and the mainland up to the Cilento coast.

With eyes full of wonder we just have to follow the path to return to the starting fork.
